Happiness Curriculum Orientation Training of Teachers of Rural Schools

On 24 Dec 2019, teachers from government schools of Haryana attended a day-long Orientation Program on the Happiness Curriculum. 19 teachers posted in the rural schools of Gurugram and Mewat districts attended this workshop. This was done as part of the ongoing training for further facilitation and administration of this framework in village schools.

PMF has identified at least 23 government school teachers for phase one. This has been done in consultation with the district administration and the state education department. The training programs will continue in batches for these teachers. Our aim is to promote a holistic approach to education among the teacher and the taught.

The trainees will undergo the Happiness Curriculum training at PMF Udyog Kunj, Alipur. The pedagogy to teach happiness includes mindfulness, stories, activities and expressions. The training will help build capacity for the introduction of “Joyful Period” in the schools of Haryana. This is aligned with our overall goal of promotion of ‘Happiness and Emotional Wellbeing’ in communities.
